I'm thinking I might want to build a gong drum. I'm looking at doing a 14x18. I know, they are usually 20" or 22", but I always seem to be
short on space...especially at the size of the clubs we play. As far as for the lugs, I was looking at Pearl's new Refererence line, and it appears that
they swivel. They could be special ordered I assume, for a price . I could use bass drum claws on the tension rods...

what do you think of this as a potential product and would you buy it if it were publicly available?

The product is a system for muffling/cutting overtones from drums. Before you say there are too many of those already, I think I've found a far superior

placement with regards to the depth and diameter of a tom shell?

As far as bass drums go, I've seen multiple vents placed symmetrically around the circumference in a line closer to the resonant head, and I've also
seen just one vent. Does it relate to the size of the bass drum? I know that some guys think that if there's a...

Just wondering if anyone has either built or even seen a piccolo snare with wood hoops. I'm talking real piccolo, 3 inches deep.

I've got a 3x13 Pearl Maple piccolo shell, and I love the shell but hate the drum. I'm stripping it off and starting fresh, and want to know if
it's possible to fit wood hoops on it, and still fit the strainer on the side.

Thanks for any help.
