13" Oak with Jarrah stripes I just lathed the other week, I like how the two wood tones match up.
I am thinking Oak hoops with a matching Jarrah inlay....hardware, hmmm??? not sure yet...

Nice!
I think the Art Nouveau Chrome lugs from JR's place would look cool on it. But if it is gonna have wood hoops (and I think we know it will )
Maybe some satin black hardware. Man, where is Adonis when we need him! Lou

Hey Lou, how you been!? Good to see your still hanging around, I sure don't post as much as I'd like to...life is busy. I had some black Adonis lugs
sitting around for like 2 years and then foolishly sold them about a year ago....they sure would look nice wouldn't they...
Any builds going on with you? |

Hey Jody:
I got a video e book on making a marimba that I realy wnt to do, but I got no time. I think just a simple acoustic instrument would do me good right now. I am hoping soon I will make something. Hand drums still call to me too. Rudy! How is Phoenix? I just started my Reiki 3 class, That will take a few months and a few bucks. I would like to get to Chicago, but I don't think it can happen this year. Oh well. Maybe another time. I will be there in spirit. Lou

That's the ugliest damn thing I've ever seen. You should send it to me for immediate destruction. If not, brass or black Riolo lugs, or black adonis. I
still proudly wear my Stellar shirt!!

Lou, a marimaba would be a pretty cool project, you should start chipping away at it! That would be interesting to follow if you documented it.
Matt, I know....get me around $150 for shipping and I will ship it to you for proper disposal...I will even throw in another shirt for your troubles .......
the one you have must almost be vintage by now eh? |

That shell is absolutely beautiful! A true example where art and function meet. Thanks for sharing.
The shell rocks. Kev |

And thanks for enjoying! I also have another Oak with Walnut stripes still waiting to be lathed. (The Oak lumber I had wasn't wide enough so I was forced
to use stripes to get at least a 13" shell out of it....makes for an interesting contrast anyways)

And I planned on selling another set of Stellars again this year!
I thought for sure that Ron would've been booted before me.
