Ok, here's my "baby". When I found it, it was in rough shape. I used it as a crappy practice set until I got into the construction of drums more. It's a Ludwig maple 6 ply (Super Classic?). The serial numbers on the badges put it around the mid-seventies. I stripped off the disintegrating red sparkle wrap, sanded down the shells, redid the bearing edges and recovered in sparkle green. It sounds sooooo vintage! Sizes are: 14X22 (BD), 8X12 (RideTom), 16X16 (FT) and 6.5X14 (Snare). The Cymbals are all Zildjian "A"s: 22" ride, 18" crash, 17" crash and 15" hi hats. Now don't get hung up on time appropriate stands/hardware. Been there- done that! It took some time, but now when I set something - it stays. I know it's a simple set - but it suits me just fine!
