Im about to purchase a set of shells, and although i would rather wrap the kit for its durability (i am building a kit for the road), i want to try a laquer finish. i have stained snares before, so i know the deal with that. But the part that im not too sure about is i want to spray a fade over a stained shell, and i dont know what kind of paint to use. Now, i will probably be using an alcohol or water based stain, so what kind of paint do i use to spray over it? Would i need to prime it first? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
